Location: San Antonio, Texas
Description: The project consists of 1180 drilled shafts from 18 inches to 42 inches in diameter and up to 90 feet deep with bells up to 90” in diameter for the new home of the San Antonio Spurs. The project also included 145 — 24” soldier piers up to 38 feet deep for a retention system to protect the existing Freeman Coliseum and a tunnel linking the two structures.
Scope: Beck was contracted to do layout, drilled shaft excavation, spoil removal, and provide and place all materials.
