A.H. Beck Foundation Co., Inc. recognizes that many hazards are inherent in our industry. But, through sound, reasonable safety practices accidents can be eliminated. The humanitarian and moral value of working safely is of great importance to the management of this company. Management is firmly committed to creating a safe working environment on all company work sites. The company's commitment begins with a visible and active leadership that engages employees and service providers to manage health and safety performance.
This commitment is supported by a safety system based on the principles from OSHA's Voluntary Protection Plan and Behavioral Based Safety Programs. The acceptable standard of performance in safety matters is to promote safe work practices, achieve zero accidents or injuries in all aspects of our operations, and fully comply with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, and contractual requirements. It is company policy that accident prevention be a prime concern of all employees.
This includes the safety and well being of our employees, subcontractors, and clients, as well as the prevention of wasteful, inefficient operations, and damage to property and equipment. It is, therefore, inherent in our goal of providing clients with quality services, that safety is among the first considerations of every project.
Management and supervisors are accountable for the safety of the employees working under their supervision, and are expected to conduct operations in a safe manner at all times. It is company policy that all field employees be rewarded with quarterly bonuses for working on injury free crews. No job is so important that we cannot take the time to do it in a safe manner. All company personnel, regardless of position, have authority to suspend any operation, which in their opinion constitutes a hazard to the life and health of any person. They also have authority to suspend any operation which may present a hazard to the environment or to surrounding work areas. image A.H. Beck is responsive to the safety concerns of our employees, other contractors and our clients.
We continually audit and monitor our compliance with all applicable laws, permits, agreements, and the objectives of this policy, take appropriate action to correct noted deficient areas, and keep accurate and complete information. Our company provides and maintains a safe and healthful working condition for all employees at all times by providing safe working equipment, necessary personnel protection — and, in case of injury, provides the best available first-aid and medical services.
We proactively perform safety inspections on each jobsite to avoid hazardous conditions that would endanger workers. A.H. Beck has always and shall continue to hold safety as one of our most important responsibilities in the operation of this organization. We firmly believe that production and safety go hand in hand and that a safe working environment leads to improved production.
